North Jakarta City Government Receives 200 Waste Sorting Bins

The North Jakarta City Government received 200 sorting bins from PT Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok. The assistance is a form of support for North Jakarta's role as a pilot project for national waste management.

North Jakarta Mayor, Hendra Hidayat thanked and appreciated PT Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok's assistance through its corporate social responsibility.

"This assistance is a real manifestation of PT Pelindo's commitment and concern in supporting better waste management," he said, Wednesday (7/16).

Hendra added that this collaboration is an important step in encouraging a culture of sorting waste at its source, as well as building a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable environment.

"We hope that this good cooperation becomes an inspiration for other parties to work together to protect and care for the city we love," he added.

Meanwhile, Acting Executive General Manager of PT Pelindo Regional 2 Tanjung Priok, Yandri Tri Saputra stated this assistance is a form of PT Pelindo's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) for waste processing in North Jakarta.

"We're handing over 200 units first. The remaining 300 units will be disbursed later. Hopefully, this will help manage waste," he stated.
